About ME -
I was born and raised as a member of an Air Force family which gave me an opportunity to see the USA in person. This has given me an appreciation for the wonderful scenery that this country has. I paint landscapes When I am around trees it almost feels like they are hugging me. The deepest forest always has ray of light and I want to show that in my paintings.
I have always appreciated art and wanted to become an artist. Instead I went into a variety of career fields. A major change in my health made me unable to work at a full time regular job. At first I felt cursed, however, it was the best blessing I could have had because it afforded me the opportunity to work on my art.
I want to make a painting that makes you feel ultimately wonderful just by viewing it. In the mean time I practice and paint and love doing it.
I have taken graphic design at Phoenix College but discovered I would much rather paint. My formal training is very limited to a watercolor class at Phoenix College and some workshops at the Scottsdale Artists' School where I have received 2 scholarships for their workshops. I believe that it is necssary to learn. So I try to take advantage of every opportunity to experience new ideas and techniques in order to evoke feeings that you welcome or remember.
I have sold many of my paintings lacross the country. I exhibit in various venues in the Valley of the Sun.
Art is my life. I paint for enjoyment and relaxation Art IS my day job. I go to a studio where there are other artists so painting is my social time. As I mentioned I truly have been blessed to be able to do what I love.
I hope you enjoy my art work.
